Light Duty Serrated Safety Washers 'S' Type
Serrated safety washers are disc-shaped locking fasteners engineered to prevent bolted joints from loosening in high-vibration applications. They combine the spring tension of a conical washer with the mechanical grip of radial ridges to deliver exceptional resistance to shock, thermal expansion, and dynamic loads.
How They Work
- Mechanical Bite: The sharp, radial serrations cut directly into the underside of the bolt head and the mating surface.
- Friction Lock: This physical bite creates massive frictional resistance, stopping the screw from turning counter-clockwise.
- Spring Tension: The conical, slightly raised profile flattens under load, acting like a live spring that maintains constant tension if the joint settles.
